**We definitely recommend enjoying the Feast at Lele on Maui during your Hawaii Cruise!**
Any place you visit in the world, guaranteed you will be met with pride from the locals of the land about their very own unique culture and especially about their song and dance, the celebration of life that has been passed down from the centuries before, just like the Feast at Lele in Maui.
After all, isn’t happiness (after love, food and oxygen) one of the biggest things we all crave?
We think so.
And according to the history of the Luau in Hawaii, it seems to be that way for them and their ancestors as well.
Did you know that the term Lu’au was first referred to as a leaf similar to spinach, called Taro?
The taro root makes the Hawaiian dish Poi. (which if you have had it, you know – it’s delicious)
Today, the Luau is referred to as an informal gathering that takes great preparation and just as importantly, it’s an invitation to non Hawaiian folk to come celebrate too!
That very celebration is carried on still today… and we think, it’s a Must Experience during your Hawaiian Cruise!
We had attended a Luau before while on our 1st Hawaii Cruise, on Norwegian Cruiseline’s “Pride of America Ship”, and found it a little cheesy.
But we knew there are many Luau’s to choose from…
…so much so, it took us a bit of digging to figure out which one would give us the best experience this time around.
With some helpful advice from some local experts, we chose to go attend the Feast at Lele. It is an intimate and romantic setting (much unlike many others) with better quality food, lots of tables for two and premium service.
It comes with a higher price tag, but if it’s just the two of you and you’re looking for quality and/or a romantic setting…
…the Feast at Lele in Maui is definitely the best Luau to go to!

The next time you Cruise to Hawaii, which we hope will be sometime soon, take in the Feast at Lele in Maui too, we know you’ll love it!
