Ninety-nine percent of the time clients come home from their Cruise and the feedback we get is “we had the most fabulous time” or “we will never forget it” or “we can’t wait to do it again”.
And thankfully this is the case because we suspect we’d be changing professions if clients were complaining all the time.
But since the majority of our clients are in fact happy, repeat Cruisers & we ARE helping people take trips of a lifetime (and in our opinion you can’t ask for a better job then that) we won’t give up our day jobs just yet. 🙂
BUT…
…we do get the odd “not so happy camper”.
And we’re not talking about the constructive criticism which helps the Cruiselines make positive changes, no! We are talking about those few who are never happy no matter what (see Garfield to the right).
In this case, the old saying is true “You can’t please everyone”.
BUT… Don’t let that be you!
Like the headline of this blog states, If your Cruising and something is not to your liking, then simply change your liking.
When you are away from home AKA the place where all your needs are met and things are set up “just” the way you like them, things are NOT going to be the same after you step on that plane and get to your embarkation destination– you can count on that, and that’s a good thing!
It may be better then home (and it most likely will) but you will find yourself missing a few comforts of home at times… that’s normal.
… But it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself to the fullest anyways.
Just change your perspective and for yourself & the people around you “Be fanatically positive and militantly optimistic”… put those words on a sticky and paste it on your bathroom mirror so you can see it first thing in the morning. Your loved one’s will see it as well… it’s a win win so that…
If your Cruise is low on magic moments, you can kick yourself and make things happen!!
One thing we notice consistently after 37 cruises is that the food, for us, ALWAYS tastes better when we are in good company, meeting new friends and having great conversation… not when we are doing like we always do at home which is sitting, just the two of us.
Connecting with people carbonates your experience!
And even knowing this fact, there are times we have to push ourselves to be social and get out of our comfort zone. But EVERY time we do, we are happy we did.
Speaking of food… that’s just a little food for thought and words that have helped us have incredible cruise experiences as we hope that it does for you as well. 🙂
Happy Cruising!
